CORE TERMS
GYRO AIMING
Using the movement of the controller as part of your aim. The sticks still work normally, but now your hands can add movement too.
STICK-DRIVEN GYRO
The right stick does most of the familiar controller movement while gyro adds the extra correction, tracking, speed, or precision your sticks cannot give you by themselves.
SENSITIVITY
How much the game moves compared with how much you move the controller. Higher sensitivity creates more movement from your hands. Lower sensitivity creates less.
ACCELERATION
A way to have more than one speed. Move the controller slowly and gyro stays controlled. Move it faster and gyro gives you more speed for bigger turns or faster corrections.
THRESHOLDS
The points that tell acceleration when to start changing speeds. Think of them like deciding when the controller should shift gears between slower and faster movement.
OFFSET
A tool for shaping where your gyro movement feels strongest or most controllable. It can help create a better “landing zone” for your hands instead of every controller angle feeling exactly the same.
STEADYING + FILTERS
Tools used to clean up movement. They can reduce wiggle, unwanted drift, tiny accidental movements, or looseness so the gyro responds more like the movement you intended to make.
GYRO SPACE
The way the game decides how to interpret the direction you move the controller. Local Space follows the controller itself. Player Space uses your orientation to help the movement stay more consistent as the controller changes position.
